    The module comprises one training day and has three principal educational objectives.

    1. Knowing how to use your own equipment, knowing how to use the DVA transceiver and understanding the White Risk avalanche bulletin/forecast. 
    2. Knowing how used the 3 x 3 method of risk reduction both theoretically and practically (in real mountain settings).
    3. Recognize the principal avalanche dangers and knowing what to do in case of an avalanche accident (basic rescue skills)

  • swiss-mountain-training-certification1 Winter Module 1 Avalanche Safety qualification is required or relevant experience.
    The module comprises two training days with three main educational objectives.

    1. Revision of Module 1 Winter Avalanche Safety.
    2. Thorough knowledge of the 3 x 3 rescue method and knowing how to apply the method in graphic reduction.
    3. Able to plan getting off the mountain, knowing the behaviours required to reduce risk, and in the case of an avalanche accident how to rescue someone.
